Senior Citizens Club

If you would like to meet new friends, go on some bus trips, or share stories and company, then you should consider becoming a part of the Brook Park Senior Club. The Club is associated with the Brook Park Recreation Department and it’s members are Brook Park residents. They meet on Tuesdays at the Recreation Center. The Senior Coordinator is Joan Corrigan. Senior Employment Center

Are you over 40 and looking for a job? The Senior employment Center is a non-profit organization that assists workers aged 40+ with their job search. Located in Euclid, Ohio, the center offers job search assistance and training, computer help, employer contacts, and general assistance with job search matters and supplies. All services are free. Orientation is every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Call 216-731-4664 to sign up for an orientation date.

Blood Pressure Screenings
In conjunction with Southwest General Health Center and the Senior Connection, screenings are held the 1st Tuesday of every month from 9:00 – Noon.

Prescription Drug Discount Program
The Mature RX Prescription Drug Program is available to all Brook Park residents. The program is not insurance and there is no membership fee or any charge to obtain the prescription card. Although the program does not cover all medications, most brand name drugs all generic medications are included. It is important to note the amount of the discount will vary from drug to drug. The program administrator is FFI Health Services. For more information or to sign-up, contact FFI Customer Service at 800-511-1314 and mention you are with Group #BROOK PARK. All calls must be directed to FFI.

Homestead Exemption Program
The Homestead Exemption Program offers reductions in property taxes for senior citizens and disabled individuals that meet income qualifications. For more information, call the Cuyahoga County Auditor’s office at 216-443-7050.
