Welcome to our website. These pages are designed to give residents and visitors quick access to information about the city and the services it offers. Among other things, you'll find
contact information for employees and elected officials, city financial reports, as well as weekly lists of meetings and upcoming events and job opportunities. Residents and businesses can also pay their City taxes via our new Tax Connect website. We welcome your comments and suggestions.

The City of Brook Park’s Annual Community Days celebration is July 10th, 11th and 12th. This annual event is a long time tradition and the City’s largest gathering of friends and neighbors. We will feature hometown entertainment, both musical and magical, rides, games, pageants and a large selection of food. This year we will be hosting a Vintage Baseball Game Friday evening. The teams will play by the 1860 rules and use period uniforms and equipment. Please take time to check it out!
On Saturday July 11th at 11 a.m. at the City Hall Gazebo, the City will pay tribute to one of our City’s own fallen heroes. The Interstate 71 Bridge that spans Snow Road in Brook Park will be dedicated to the memory of Army Spc. Joseph Garmback Jr, 24, killed by a suicide bomber in 2004 while serving in Samarra, Iraq. Please join us for this special dedication.
Our ever-popular Community Days Parade will start our Sunday afternoon activities stepping off at 1:00 p.m. from Brookgate Shopping Center. The weekend will culminate with our fabulous fireworks display.

News and Events

NEW EMERGENCY SYSTEM- The Mayor & City Council have implemented a new Emergency Notification System called CodeRED®, which is a service provided by Emergency Communications Network of Ormand Beach, FL.  Click here for details or on the CodeRED® Logo to your left.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT- The City of Brook Park intends to apply to the Cuyahoga County Department of Development for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Recovery Act, a HUD federally funded program being administered through Cuyahoga County. This particular program is governed by the same regulations as the CDBG program, but preference will be given to infrastructure projects. For more info, click here.

HYDRANT TESTING AND ANNUAL MAINTENANCE- The Brook Park Fire Department will be conducting our annual hydrant maintenance in the month of May and June. This annual program is essential to keep the hydrants in working condition in case of a fire. This does tend to stir up the water mains and a short period of cloudy water may result. If your water becomes cloudy, just run your water until it clears. We will post signs when we will be in your neighborhood. Also, Brook Park Fire has established a Twitter account at www.twitter.com which will be updated daily. Our Twitter name is BrookParkFire. We will be “tweeting” a variety of information that may be of interest to our Brook Park residents.

3RD ANNUAL BROOK PARK TRASH TO TREASURE DAY- The Brook Park Beautification & Pride Committee will once again sponsor a citywide garage sale. The date for this event is Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Residents who wish to participate by hosting a garage sale must pre-register for a free garage sale permit. Please download the garage sale permit, fill it out, and return it to City Hall. Garage Sale Permits can also be obtained at the receptionist desk in City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. If you have any questions regarding this event or are interested in being part of the Beautification and Pride Committee, please call City Hall at 216-433-1300.

SEVERE WEATHER AND CITY SIREN INFORMATION- With springtime in full swing and the clash of the cold winter air with the warm summer air trying to take over, the potential for damaging severe weather increases dramatically. In fact, April through July are the peak months for tornado occurrence in Ohio. The City of Brook Park has installed an outdoor warning siren system to alert our residents of approaching severe weather. For more information on the warning system and for important tornado safety tips, go to the Safety Forces home page. For a downloadable version, click here.

$10,000 IN FREE HOME REPAIRS- If you are the parent or caregiver for a child 5 years of age or younger, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s Lead Safe Cuyahoga grant can provide up to $10,000 of free work to remove lead hazards in your home. These repairs may include window and door replacement, house, porch and interior painting. All work is performed by licensed lead abatement contractors. Residents, homeowners or tenants, of Brook Park can participate if they meet the income guidelines and have a child age 5 or younger who is in their home more than 20 hours per week. This may include parents, grandparents, or child care providers. Also all qualified participants receive a new vacuum.
We encourage residents of Brook Park to call the Cuyahoga County Board of Health at 216-201-2000 for an application.
