The City of Brook Park’s Annual Community Days
celebration is July 10th, 11th and 12th. This annual event is a long time
tradition and the City’s largest gathering of friends and neighbors. We will
feature hometown entertainment, both musical and magical, rides, games,
pageants and a large selection of food. This year we will be hosting a
Vintage Baseball Game Friday evening. The teams will play by the 1860 rules
and use period uniforms and equipment. Please take time to check it out!
On Saturday July 11th at 11 a.m. at the City Hall Gazebo, the City will pay
tribute to one of our City’s own fallen heroes. The Interstate 71 Bridge
that spans Snow Road in Brook Park will be dedicated to the memory of Army
Spc. Joseph Garmback Jr, 24, killed by a suicide bomber in 2004 while
serving in Samarra, Iraq. Please join us for this special dedication.
Our ever-popular Community Days Parade will start our Sunday afternoon
activities stepping off at 1:00 p.m. from Brookgate Shopping Center. The
weekend will culminate with our fabulous fireworks display.

We hope that young and old will come and enjoy the fun and we look forward
to seeing all of our hometown friends and neighbors on the Midway.

HYDRANT
TESTING AND ANNUAL MAINTENANCE-
The Brook Park Fire Department will
be conducting our annual hydrant maintenance in the month of May and June.
This annual program is essential to keep the hydrants in working condition
in case of a fire. This does tend to stir up the water mains and a short
period of cloudy water may result. If your water becomes cloudy, just run
your water until it clears. We will post signs when we will be in your
neighborhood. Also, Brook Park Fire has established a Twitter account at
www.twitter.com which will be
updated daily. Our Twitter name is BrookParkFire. We will be “tweeting” a
variety of information that may be of interest to our Brook Park residents. |
